About China General Chamber of Commerce

History Evolution: China General Chamber of Commerce was established in 1994. It is a pivotal industry association in the commercial field established after the reform of the former Ministry of Commerce and the Domestic Trade Department. 

Industry Authority: Entrusted by the government, it manages 14 enterprises and public institutions, administers 39 national professional associations, and is responsible for 31 domestic and foreign newspapers and periodicals. 

International Platform: China General Chamber of Commerce has signed strategic agreements with more than 30 national industry associations, and is a member of the Asia-Pacific Retailers Association Alliance and the International Retail Association Senior Manager Forum. 

Member Scale: more than 3400 direct members, more than 80,000 indirect members; 

Competent Authority: Under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
